Aladdin Knowledge Systems HASP USB Dongle

I am having trouble with my Aladdin dongle.  I am running Windows Server 2003 and the Aladdin Knowledge Systems 7/27/2005 5.18.0.0 driver on the server side.  
 
The software requiring the dongle (on the client) does not appear to see it when running USB over Network.  It is "connected" to the USB port.  I am running the client on a Windows Server 2003 under VMware ESX.
 
For what should I look to resolve any issues and fix this problem?

Please verify USB Host Controller has to be installed in your VMware. Please refer to:
 
Menu -> VM  -> Settings -> Hardware

How do we add a USB host controller on a ESX virtual machine? There is no option for adding USB hardware under ESX.

Please try to test last 2.5.3 version of USB over Network. Now program does not require USB Host Controler installed in VMware.

We have tried the new version and it seems to work (the Aladin HASP key shows up in device manager)
 
However, the application (TC LAN manager) does not see the HASP key. Is there anything we can try to get this to work ?
We are using the HASP HL driver 5.20

Unfortunately current version of USB over Network does not support Aladin HASP dongles. We are working on this problem still ...

I thought that I'd note that the 3.0.1 beta version does seem to support Aladdin keys very nicely.
