Title: Running with reduced user privileges?
Post by EdwinSmith on Dec 26th, 2006, 8:02pm
Hello:

I have a customer that installed the Beta (2.6.2) on 2 PC's at his company. They have a Server 2003 domain network and the users all run with basic "Domain User" privileges.

He installed with admin privileges of course but when logged in as a user the USB Server pops up the following error dilog:

"Program cannot start because of the following error: Error (5). Module: ShareUsbShellIface (50)."

On the client PC, when logged in as a user we get the following error when we try to disconnect a USB device:

"Cannot remove USB device. Error (5023). Module: UsbEngineClent (403)."

Thinking these problems might be due to the beta version and/or some debug code still in the beta, I uninstalled the beta version from both PC's. I then installed the release version (2.5.5) but now it says the trial period has ended and it refuses to run until a license key is entered. We have only had this running for today.

HELP!

This looks like a good product but we cannot now test it because of this license key problem. Can you supply a trial license key?

Thanks

Edwin

Yes, you received these errors because user cannot get access to debug file. Please evaluate it while logging as admin.

We'll remove this limitation in the final version. Also we will email you temporary license key (it will be valid till 15 Jan 2007) to extend evaluation period of program.
