virtual modem on virtual machine

Hello. I could not get my win2000 virtual machine (VM on an XP host system) to use the physical winmodem in the host computer.  So I installed Virtual Modem in the win2000 Virtual Machine and also on another win2000 system on the network.  I was then able to call hyperterminal on either win2000 system from the other. Cool.

You should use microsoft virtual pc which supports virtual serial ports but make sure that after mounting the virtual modem the software must run in background.
Another solution is that u can use Ethernet networking in Ms virtual pc 2004 to acheive greater bandwidth up to 100 Mbps..........
but if u insist to use virtual modem then head on towards Ms virtual pc 2004 + Virtual modem.................
